The 5 Elements Approach to the Unified Field – Soul-stice Weekend Seminar.

The 5 Elements (Air “Wood”, Water, Fire, Earth & Ether “Metal”) are the building blocks of everything in creation. They hold the balance to all life.

By Intertwining the AIR: Zero Point Transmission, WATER: BreathLight Experience, FIRE: ShamanEka Somatic Movement, EARTH: Sacred Cacao Sound Medicine, and ETHER: Soul-stice White Tantra, we harmonize a unified field of resonance in our physical, emotional, sexual, psychic, and spirit bodies.

When we move through these 5 sacred elements with the ensuing seminar experiences, we can shift timelines, we can shift psycho-emotional stagnancy, we can shift “lost our purpose” feeling, we can shift dysfunctional relationships, we can shift depression, we can shift anger, we can shift stress & confusion, we can shift “things not working anymore” and we can shift anything not in personal alignment towards a huge conscious breakthrough of collective heart freedom.e move into an empty-spaciousness beyond our tricky minds, transcending the ego-personalities, forming a deeper self-love of our physical body and ultimately returning back to our core soul feelings of why we incarnated here, anchoring a loving expanded clarity in our emotional intelligence.  We come home to ourselves.

We move into an empty-spaciousness beyond our tricky minds, transcending the ego-personalities, forming a deeper self-love of our physical body and ultimately returning back to our core soul feelings of why we incarnated here, anchoring a loving expanded clarity in our emotional intelligence.  We come home to ourselves.

We come home within the space of each other.

The one thing we all have forgotten is how to “FEEL”, really feel without judgement, without fear, without comparison, without competition, without being controlled not to feel anymore.

There is immense power in our feelings. ridiculously immense. But one must clear the ego-mind and release the pent up or stagnant emotions in order to start the feeling process through beloved innocence again. It is a Return to Trans-personal Remembrance.

Over this powerful Summer Soul-stice Full Moon window, which begins a week before and lasts a week after June 20th. We have an incredible opportunity to dramatically shift these old ancient karmic cycles and move swiftly into a newer, clearer individual embodied space of true authentic feelings, align and unify our purpose together.  And we can do all of it with personal courage, truth, wisdom, compassion, understanding, love, joy and even blissful ecstasy.

The Power of Choice is always yours, I can be your Unified Field Soul-stice guide & help open the gateway but you have to walk through on your own.

Are you ready to show up now, dear friend?

Love, Mikael

Meditating on a Wave

The wave contemplates the concept of Source and its perception of self. It looks and sees that it is made of the water. And within itself it sees the sunlight and the wind. It looks deeper and sees that earth and space is there too. The wave is related to the lake and the lake is related to the clouds and the rain, and the grass that grows and the animals that eat them. It is the raging river and the frozen arctic ice. The ice cube in the lemonade and the newborn kitten in the kitchen. And the whole earth, the galaxy and all the galaxies in the universe, and all the other universes; unfolding, expanding, Source experiencing itself.

The wave knows that she is wave or not-wave, and snow and mist and thunderous waterfall; sequentially and concurrently. In the present moment a wave is writing on snowflakes that became a tree, drinking a glacier sitting on a cloud in the milky way. And in the here and now a wave is breathing and knowing, and channelling reality.

Nowhere to be except here. Nothing to do except smile.

Working Byron Katie

At the Toni’s prodding, and it didn’t take long, I decided to go into retreat. It’s been long overdue, and I guess I’ve been a bit of a grouch. There were no conveniently timed meditation retreat in the vicinity, so I took the 2 weeks I was accorded to and shut myself in my urban cave instead. Since we’ve just done a weekend The Work of Byron Katie workshop, I thought I’d go through all the Byron Katie material I could find and hunker down to work.

Let the sound of the bell invite you home to your own mind

This is what I found.

  • There are no new stressful thoughts in the history of humanity. Across race, language and culture, they are the same.
  • These thoughts are not personal to us. They pop up when events in our lives occur. Then we believe them and suffer; or we could investigate them and invite the truth to manifest, and not suffer. Thoughts like
    • My parents don’t love me
    • I don’t want to look stupid
    • People should be understanding
    • People are not trustworthy
    • The world is a dangerous place
    • There’s got to be something better
  • Suffering is the story of the ego. Ego tries to re-create what essence already is. Why? Because it thinks it is separate. It is the ego who is identified with and attached to the suffering. The ego suffers. That’s what egos do to exist.
  • We have more ego than we need when we have more suffering than we want.
  • Suffering is suffering. It’s not personal.
  • Nobody can hurt me, that’s my job.
  • We can mind only our own business.
  • Its not a question of truth or morality. The Work does not condone any hurt or harm to the self, the other or the earth. it’s the just about asking questions, and investigating reality.
  • There are no mistakes. What is, is what’s supposed to be. The universe is a wise and friendly place. It’s always what we need in the present moment. If we pay attention, we will get that. We have everything we need. What we have, despite what we believe is exactly what we need.
  • It’s the old ‘nothing to do, no where to go, home in the present moment’ wisdom.

The Four Noble Truths

The Work reminds me of the Zen and Vipassana approaches to meditation, and the four noble truths:

Suffering
The cause of suffering
The cessation of suffering
The path to the end of suffering.

However it arose out of Katie’s own mind and is entirely unrelated to any eastern or western wisdom traditions. So the four noble truths from the Work Katie recommends this:

Judge your neighbour,
Write it down
Ask four questions
Turn it around

Thoughts Think Us

Our thoughts project our world. Our world is a mirror reflecting our beliefs. If we live in an unhappy world, it is a projection of what we have not healed within ourselves. “The map is not the territory”.

Most of the time, most of us cannot not think. Thoughts think us, they don’t belong to us. Thoughts are mostly recycled, there are virtually no new thoughts. Since there are there anyway, the smart thing to do is to meet them with kindness and understanding and see what it is they really want. Our job is to ask (e.g., the thought “Paul doesn’t listen to me”) the four questions.

The Four Questions
1. Is is true?
2. Can you absolutely know that it’s true?
3. How do you react, what happens, when you believe that thought?
4. Who would you be without the thought? Turn the thought around (original thought: Paul doesn’t listen to me)
a) to the opposite (Paul does listen to me)
b) to the self (I don’t listen to me)
c) to the other (I don’t listen to Paul)
And find three genuine specific examples of how each turnaround is true in you life

My Experience of The Work

I can’t say that I’ as adept at The Work than the other things I do, like EFT and Integration. I definitely wasn’t 100% faithful to The Work. I’m still playing with it, and that’s what it is. It’s play. It’s fun and interesting to investigate our feelings, thoughts and beliefs. I’ve seen the humour in some of my ludicrous presumptions, the ‘I need/want’, ‘shoulds’ and ‘musts’, ‘always/never’ judgements that have gone unquestioned and run amok. The Work as facilitated by Katie use powerful reframes and turnarounds, administered with humour and kindness. It’s another way to slice the issues and bring new understanding. These are the great and not-so-great in my experience.

What’s Great

  • looks at causation without the long story (spends less time with drama, more time with results, usually a plus)
  • quick results, sometimes change comes at the first question
  • allows own wisdom to arise and brings real healing
  • easily induces a better state of mind
  • can induce a higher state of consciousness
  • easy enough, people can self-apply (mostly)
  • after some practice, it becomes automatic (bonus!)
  • lots of free material on her website (TheWork.com)

What’s Not so Great

  • it might be hard for newbies to identify the stressful thoughts or the underlying beliefs. Sometimes people just feel a sensation or emotion without being able to articulate meaning. It would get better with a little patience and practice.
  • can get frustrating and exhausting
  • the presence-of-mind of the facilitator is important, whether it’s self administered or facilitated by another individual

And guess what I found?
What I held as truths, they are not even mine, they are not personal, they are certainly not new and definitely not in the now. They are just stories. “The truth is rarely pure and never simple” says the wise Oscar. And “never let the facts get in the way of a good story”, says the wise Mark Twain. And after experiencing The Work, I would say, “Dont let the truth get blown away by a good story”.

To conclude
Suffering doesn’t happen to a mind that’s healed. So who are we without our thoughts, our beliefs, our suffering, our identity? That thought you believe, is it true? What would you be without that thought? And that thought? And that thought?

EFT tapping for Releasing Identity

Venetian Mask by Gnuckx

This statement was created to help us let go of our attachment to our identity. We all hang our hats somewhere, some of us on our roles or personality, some of us on our jobs or our culture or our suffering. Most likely all of the above and more influence our identity. As always, please add your own words to the statements so that they will be more relevant. I hope this helps those who are trying to find their way back to the essence of who they are.

If you are new to EFT and tapping, please first refer to Emotional Freedom Technique for the basic technique.

Even though I have all these beliefs, conscious or unconscious, about who I am, I deeply and completely love and accept myself. I forgive myself, and anyone else (maybe) who contributed to this situation.

I have all these thoughts, these demons, I have all this suffering, shame, rage, fear, despair… (change or add those that affect you) , I wake up in the morning to this fog of darkness, dread and doom. I experience my shadow, and I am overwhelmed by my shadow. And I have chosen to believe that these are my only truths.

I not only have thoughts, but I have identified with my thoughts.
I not only have emotions, but I have identified with my emotions.
I not only have personality but I have identified with my personality.
I not only play roles but I have identified with my roles.
I not only experience my shadow but I have been overwhelmed and identified with my shadow.

I think thoughts, but I am not limited by my thoughts. I feel emotions, but I am not limited by my emotions, I exhibit a personality, but I am not limited by my personality, I play different roles, but I am not limited to my roles. I am not limited by my identity. My identity is only a convenient label I wear. I am still all that I am without my label, I can feel emotions without attaching to them, I can experience a personality without attaching to it, I can play roles, without attaching to them. I can be overwhelmed by my shadow without becoming attached to it.

I now choose to feel emotions without attaching to them, without identifying with them
I now choose to experience personality without attaching to it, without identifying with it
I now choose to play roles without attaching to them, without identifying with them, without limiting myself to them
I now choose to integrate shadow without identifying with it, without limiting myself to it.

Every time I say “I”,  I mean a phenomenon that is unfolding in the now. I choose to be free of my limiting beliefs, my habit energies and my programming. All the things which are superflous and external to the truth of who I really am. I may or may not soon discover the essence of who I am, but I choose my unfolding now to include

wisdom, goodness, compassion, peace, strength, joy
serenity, humility, authenticity, equanimity
non-attachment, courage, sobriety, stillness
innocence, self-trust, skillful action

I deeply and completely love and accept myself. I forgive myself, and anyone else (maybe) who contributed to this situation. I know that I am made of love, made of nothing but love. And it is impossible to be disconnected from my Source. Source is pulsating in every cell of my being. I am spirit having a human experience. I am in the right place, at the right time, having the right experiences.

How does knowing your Enneagram Type help?

Enneagram Types
Enneagram Types

Have you ever noticed the number of times someone says “I” or “me” in a conversation? What is it we mean when we say “I”? Who exactly do we refer to? Who do we define our “I”? What identity do we take on? Are we identified with our job or profession – I am a lawyer. Or our image – what I wear, what I do, where I go, whom I’m with, where I hang out, who I take photos with. Our emotions? Our bodies? Our ego? When someone says this is me or this is not me. Think about what part of ourselves we are talking about.

Chances are that a lot of times we operate in the world by reacting. Reacting towards: with desire, with attachment, with liking something and wanting more of it. Reacting away from: with aversion, with fear, with anger or dislike, and with not wanting it. In the study of the Enneagram, we also come to understand how operate when reacting against and reacting towards. We learn to recognise the patterns that we repeat from childhood.

In Enneagram-speak, the twin mechanism of the Basic Fear and Basic Desire in each of us create our personality. The personality is a program we run in order to cope with life when we are separate from our true selves. And in running the program we loose sovereignty over our lives – people and the environment press our buttons and we jump, we keep experiencing the same repeated situations, relationships and emotions. We are trapped on the hamster wheel, the faster we run, the more firmly we stay in place. At some point, particularly at mid-life, we all get this insight, that life is not all we think it is. We are not who we think we are. This is a good place to be, although it can be un-nerving and downright unpleasant.

Isn’t this just another personality typing system that puts people in a box?

The Enneagram provides a map of how the personality works, reveals our habitual self and shows the box we are already in. In addition, it shows us the way back to our true selves, our true essence. This last bit is not common knowledge even in the Enneagram world, but it is the part that makes the most sense.

So how does it work?

Step 1: Learn about the Enneagram Types and where on the 9 levels of your type you are at now. Learn about the Enneagram Types of the people in your life and how your relationships with them are like.

Step 2: Learn about the Essential nature of each Type

Step 3: Learn how to get in touch with that essential nature. There’s nothing to achieve, just stuff to release.
