Mind Body Studies (MBS) workshop series
(based Moshe Feldenkrais Method)
Whether through stress, repetitive functional habits such as long hours typing on a computer keyboard and or habitual postures, pain sneaks up in the form of shoulder pain or stiffness.
The shoulder girder is a group of bones which consists of the shoulder blades, the collar bone, and shoulder joint (where the arm meets the shoulder). Often time, we have little awareness of how it works. In this workshop, you will discover how the shoulder relates to the rest of the body in movement. You will be exploring the various little distinctions of the shoulder girder and subsequently integrate it into a larger movement.
At the end of the workshop, you will learn with awareness of how to distribute functional load through the whole body. This relieves the shoulder from overload. Happy shoulders lead to improved flexibility in the whole person.
