Mind-Body Studies (MBS) workshop series
(based Moshe Feldenkrais Method)
The stress of daily living due to work, family and other issues are manifested through the somatic patterns of individuals. Over long period of time it often results in health issues such as hypertension, shoulder aches, back pain, breathlessness and etc. Is uncomfortable and can be reduced significantly through Feldenkrais methods of movement.
In this particular workshop, you will be learning a series of breath work and unique movements. The combination of breath work and body movements will improve your breathing volume and at the same time relax the abdominal tensions. There are many breathing techniques. Our approach will allow you the opportunity to discover how you could take in more air through the expansion of your rib cage, lower abdominal movements, etc.
You will also be guided in discovering and learning how you could move and relax your upper abdomen specifically, rib cage, shoulder girder and spine.
At the end of the workshop, you will typically feel a sense of lightness and relief as a result of letting go of tensions in your body and also awareness of new ways to improve abdominal flexibility.
